It’s that time of year! If you’re a senior in high school you are probably going through the college decision process. With opportunities all around the world, it can be a struggle to decide on which college to attend. There is one important thing to keep in mind when deciding – think about your major. Not only looking into a college’s majors can be helpful, but also looking into what internal colleges your potential major is in. Choosing a college that has a wide variety of major choices available is key but knowing what those choices are and what they entail can be a struggle.
While in my previous blog post I discussed creating an infographic over first time students at the University of Oklahoma, I am now running on a different track. Students choosing a major and college can find difficulty in understanding what each major entail. That is why I now believe conveying information about the most popular colleges within the University of Oklahoma is key for students when choosing a major.
Whether the audience be students themselves or their parents and caregivers, it can be insightful for all. Looking into statistics on potential majors significantly helps students when coming to decision making. This infographic can also help to create conversation about different majors, possibly sparking interest in others.
